Who is All the Rest?
All The Rest is a pop band from Atlanta, Georgia consisting of Caleb Smith, Baylee Waller, Jud Harris and Tre Housman.
What is the secret of smoothly blending together multiple genres like you guys do?
It’s the wide range of musical influences of all of us put together. It’s not really much of a secret.
What is the role of intuition when producing music?
Intuition plays a huge part in our music. We naturally understand what makes a song work because we are passionate and spend so much time studying other music and knowing what song is worthy of being listened to. But sometimes you just have to take risks and follow your gut.
How do you feel about the evolution of digital music streaming services?
It is the foremost best thing for our music career.
Could you sum up some personal milestones in your artist development?
We have hit the top 100 on the charts in Korea so we freaked out a little over that. Our first New York show was a pretty big deal for us.
How do you deal with your visual concept on social media?
We try to create a visual presence that we would personally want to see from other bands. We are lucky to have a talented team to help us accomplish that.
Do you have some insights on running a smoothe live show?
Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. Oh and tight transitions are also key.
How much are you involved in the creative process of your music videos?
We try to be as involved as we can without stepping over our director. He’s really talented and we usually trust his creative vision.
How important are data insights for your (strategic) decisions?
They show us what’s working and what people like, therefore it helps us find our strong suits and our weak points with our content.
2020 is right around the corner… What can we expect from All The Rest next year?
More shows and more music.
